Sonja graduated in animation at the HFF "Konrad Wolf" with her film COCOON CHILD, which could be seen at the Berlinale Generation Competition in 2009 and many other international festivals. Her next short film TANTO TANTO was commissioned by german television 3sat/ZDF in 2010. Since 2008 she directed and animated infotainment films, installations and commercials. 2012 she finished the music video KOLUMBUS for Keimzeit together with Veronika Samartseva.

Directed and animated by Sonja Rohleder & Veronika Samartseva Columbus wakes up surrounded by rising waters and decides that instead of viewing this shock as a catastrophe he'll take it as an opportunity to set a course for his dreams. Faced with numerous hurdles and challenges en route to his goals, Columbus discovers that learning to appreciate the beauty in the journey and the unexpected is just as important as reaching your destination.

Directed and animated by Pauline Kortmann and Sonja Rohleder It's the intro for an image film made by Stories Unlimited for the Handwerkskammer Potsdam (HWK). Follow the apprentice boy Sandro on his HKW organised trip to itlay, where he's learning to make Ciabatta.
